LOS ANGELES, CA — Maxine Waters, the legendary L.A. County Congresswoman, has endorsed Congresswoman and leading progressive candidate for U.S. Senate Barbara Lee.

Throughout her more than 40 years of public service, Maxine Waters has been on the cutting edge, combining her strong legislative and public policy acumen with a deep commitment to grassroots organizing. 

Congresswoman Waters has been dubbed “Aunty Maxine” by young people who appreciate her advocacy and understanding of issues important to them. She was re-elected in November 2022 to her seventeenth term in the U.S. House of Representatives with more than 70 percent of the vote.
