OAKLAND, CA – Congresswoman Lee today released the following statement after undergoing successful knee surgery:

Today, I received surgery on my right knee. I tore my meniscus over a year ago, and my doctor recommended a knee replacement, which was completed today.

I chose to have this surgery now to ensure a full and speedy recovery and get back on the campaign trail in person and back to work in Washington in the coming weeks.
